Meditation is one of the most important gifts you can give yourself even starting each day. There are many ways to meditate, but they all lead to the same wonderful experience - a peaceful way to start your day - stress reduction - answers to questions we have to think -. A wonderful connection to yourself and the Spirit

throughout this article I will try to give you a few ways to help you focus on meditation if you are a beginner and if you have meditated before it will be just a little reminder to stay on your practice.

when you begin to meditate, find a quiet place or area that you are committed to use when you want to meditate or go inward. Start by being either on a meditation cushion or being in a comfortable chair that allows you to sit upright, so that your breath can flow easily in and out. Close your eyes, and you might want to have some soft music in the background (wordless unless some type of song). Start by breathing through the nose and consciously focus on the belly of being allowed out - babies are automatic, but as we age we are told to "suck in our gut" and get out of the practice of breathing in this way on the outbreath, a soft version of the mouth breathing and you may wish to go to different parts of your body and release the stress that is there -.. consciously I know for myself, I store my . stress in my shoulder and neck region and spend more time to go your feet should be flat on the floor if you are sitting, and all you are doing is focusing on the breath - the breath - your . support force life and honor in being one with it periodically because you are not using this silence, your "ego-self" will try to get your attention by letting the thoughts fly through your head - as your agenda for the day - just notice it and take another breath concious and refocus on your breathing. I usually sit with my hands palm up, welcoming ideas and my connection with my breath. Suddenly, you'll find that 15 or 20 minutes have passed and you do not even realize it. It really is a peaceful experience, connecting, and soothing.

I just went to a wonderful workshop in the mountains with my group of spiritual support, and we remained focused on meditation on the four aspects of the Heart Center. If an aspect called us more than another, then we focused on this particular aspect. The 4 aspects of the Heart Center that we focused on are:

1. Compassion - Sometimes it's easier to be more compassionate with others we with ourselves. Pracice should always begin at home by finding compassion with ourselves. Compassion allows you to develop another level of consciousness and awareness. Compassion gives you clarity.
2. Harmony ine - Accept all parts of yourself just as they are, without judgment - which means owning your shadow material, and try to observe it as a model we have developed, without Judgement. We have to accept all our parts, not deny or judge -. Just watch them when they appear, and begin to realize why
3. Healing Presence - When you can be open to all parts of yourself without judging, a wonderful healing and change occurs. Try to come to a place of evaluation rather than critical judgment - an example might be "today I made a bad statement instead, I'm still wicked !!!"
4. Unconditional Love - Just PURE LOVE - the glue that holds all of us and the universe together - each playing their role in the process that unfolds over. Shedding light on even destrucive parts of ourselves, makes divine healing takes place. It's all part of the cycle that we - us. Once we can ourselves and all our parts love unconditionally, we are different, and the way we look at things is less emotional. Since we are pure love, pure love we draw into our lives -. When you can hold and be in this space, it is a great way to live

We lit a candle every day and put our hands on our hearts and meditate on each of these aspects of the heart center, and some wonderful healings took place - I was truly blessed for the ideas I received and honored to be in nature with people mined. Try to meditate on the four aspects of heart and see the difference it makes in your life.
